Method development for registering physical activity, energy metabolism and energy balance

The aim of this development project is to increase our knowledge about physical activity, energy metabolism and energy balance in children, youths and adults. This we will allow us to provide more individually adjusted recommendations about physical activity and diet.

Data can be collected in literature studies, from reviews of patient charts or by gathering research or patient data. The student will also participate practically in the examinations of patient or research groups.

During the project the student will e.g. learn the basics of determining nutritional status, including how to study energy consumption, body composition and fitness level. The project will have both theoretical and practical applications and could be used as a degree project at both the bachelor or master level.

The project corresponds to 30 credits.
