Infrastructure for experimental research on large animals can apply for funding

2018-10-16

The Swedish Research Council has decided that the area Infrastructure for experimental research on large animals will be able to apply for funding in next year’s call for applications.

U-Share was highly involved when the Infrastructure for experimental research on large animals was submitted to the Swedish Research Council in last year’s need inventory. The Research Council has now decided that all areas that were prioritised as A1 in the inventory will be included in the call. In total, 14 new areas and 14 existing research infrastructures will be able to submit applications in the call, which opens on 19 January, 2019.

The Infrastructure for experimental research on large animals aims to provide a platform for human and veterinary sciences to develop and validate models in large animal species, as well as facilitate the use of these models nationwide. It will also be able to offer access to animals with spontaneously developed diseases of interest.
